Made It Fashion Week
Made It Patterns just released their new collection Fold|2, inspired by the Japanese art of Origami! To celebrate, Olu and Anna (the masterminds behind Made It!) put together a Fashion Week, with a star filled line up… and little me got to be a part of this! I’m so excited to show you what I’ve done! 😀
Don’t leave the show, before it ends… Stay for the after party!
Let’s start the show… (cue the imaginary music…)My son is wearing the Kite Fold Tee and the Book Fold Trousers. This collection is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The patterns are so original, edgy, but very wearable, with little details, that might look complicated, but are really very simple to achieve. The instructions are clear and super fun to read, with quirky remarks, that just make you smile all the way through.
For the t-shirt, I used three different knits, all from Nosh (that I bought myself.) and for the pants, a denim fabric from one of my local shops. The t-shirt pattern is perfect to play with prints and colour blocking, or both! The diagonal lines give it a cool and streamline look! The trousers feature some cool details also, like the side darts, that you can accent with topstitching; the twisting leg seams; in the back, the inseam pockets, where you can add a contrasting fabric; the diagonal fly… and best of all, no zip! (I always dread the zipper!)Now for the after party…

September 4, 2015 at 3:17 pmThanks Andreia! I wanted to go black and white, but the fabric I had didn’t match, but I’m very happy how it turned out! É no pavilhão do conhecimento, no parque das nações.

September 5, 2015 at 7:25 pmThanks Karly! He wasn’t very happy about modelling, which turned out looking like a “real model”! Haha…
The boats are outside the Science Museum in Lisbon, which made this the perfect location!
