My first skirt
The first lesson was, how to make a skirt. A simple pencil skirt.
After two lessons (six hours!!), it’s almost done… almost!
On the first day, Mestre Teresa, draw up the pattern, and then I copied it to the fabric. Then it was time to cut the fabric and baste the three pieces together so I could go on to the sewing machine (and yes, all of this took me three hours!!)
A primeira lição do curso, foi fazer uma saia! É a peça mais simples de elaborar e não tem muito por onde errar.
Ao fim de dois sábados (entenda-se, seis horas), está quase pronta!
No primeiro sábado, a Mestre Teresa fez-nos o molde, que passámos para o tecido. Depois foi fazer as marcações, alinhavar e empastar (costurar) à máquina as três peças de tecido (e sim, isto levou-me três horas a fazer!).
Today I used the overlock machine and made the pockets.
Hoje, coube-nos a tarefa de orlar as costuras e fazer bolsos.
